Hi!
Here is a great website that provides a bluebird timeline for events. I found it to be very accurate with the past 4 bluebird broods in my nest box: http://www.sialis.org/runt.htm.
Typically it takes 12-14 days for the eggs to hatch from the date the last egg was laid. After they hatch, they fledge anywhere from 16-21 days, but mine have always fledged on the 18th & 19th day. Enjoy!
Hi Linda, you might find this article helpful. Bluebirds will re-use old nests, and can build their own, so cleaning the box is up to you. Please note that it’s important to be completely sure that another nesting attempt has not begun yet when you clean the box out, so if you are unsure, we generally recommend waiting until the fall, unless they are particularly soiled with fecal matter.
Love the Bluebirds.
Watching some in Geneva, Alabama.
Just learning. How long does it take to hatch?

How soon should you clean out the nest after the babies fledge
