Helpful Tips

  • Nest boxes can be located from shoreline up to 1/3 mile from water.
  • Place several inches of wood shavings in the box in spring.
  • There should be no obstructions blocking the entrance of the entrance of the nest box.
  • Place a horizontal slab of wood immediately below the entrance hole on the front of the box.
