Description

We have had many blue jay youngsters in our yard this year. I kept hearing the fledglings begging for food from the parents, yet had been unable to get a shot of this until this pair landed on our squirrel feeder platform.

I love when the youngsters beg while standing in a pile of food, or sitting on a feeder.

So true! These ‘babies’ are huge, too! They would typically start eating themselves if the parents left. I suppose they want to milk the advantage as long as possible! 🙂
