YES I was scrolling down the page and then iwent back up the page and found a new picture it was id so I went and wrote what ithout it was and the computer said:your posting comment too fast and itryed again and it worked, funny.
Our wren got trapped in the mousetrap-it was still alive, breathing and I got him out,and the wren hopped on the ground. It got trapped on the neck, and I was glad it was still alive.
It’s heartbreaking that it died.
There are non-lethal ways to get rid of mice.Try to figure out why you have mice, for example, is it crumbs? Then eliminate the source of the problem.
Most likely the problem was that the mice were looking for warmth in our garage. We keep the garage doors closed most of the time, but there are a lot of cracks. Hopefully this won’t happen again!
There is no such thing as a rock pigeon but such thing as a rock dove, not a rock pigeon. The term rock pigeon is used in common language but it actually refers to a rock dove.
I’m sorry, my bird book says that there is such thing as a rock, but I don’t believe that. But nestwatch says there’s such thing as a thing but not a rock dove. So I really don’t know which one is right. Rock pigeon sounds a little weird,it might be a rock dove.
COOL
Any IDs?
& very great pictures.76.
Rock dove(in a different form)
OK, Thank you!
yes I do have 1.
Thank you

Ok…
Sorry for incorrect words
I got the same thing
Domestic.
OK, thanks
Why did you post a photo of the same bird with id help?
Two different photos, I posted one then remembered the other so posted that one.
why all black pigeon on this one and black pigeon on the other one?
Figured it was a Rock Pigeon. It was domestic.
domestic that,s the word I am looking for.
OK
standing tall(pigeon)
Yes
Did the wren ever get out of the mousetrap?
No.
Poor thing… why didn’t it get out? 😢

Did it live? Why didn’t it get out?
It was already dead when I found it:(
Sad!
The kind of mouse trap we get is a one that when it feel motion it triggers it & to shut down on the mouse.
It’s heartbreaking that it died.

I agree
We have gotten at least 15 mice in December.
I think the problem is in the winter is that the wren’s favorite food in winter is p butter.
No wrens trapped yet.

Back to the pigeon news please!
I don’t think it is a imperial pigeon.
There is no such thing as a rock pigeon but such thing as a rock dove, not a rock pigeon. The term rock pigeon is used in common language but it actually refers to a rock dove.
On eBird it says Rock Pigeon and NestWatch says Rock Pigeon
A Rock Dove and Rock Pigeon are the same thing. One is just a nickname.
Which is the nickname and which is the real name?
Rock pigeon is the nickname & rock dove is correct. We looked the information up.
We call them Rock Pigeons.
Too bad.
Well, we call them rock doves,so.
Anyway,it’s a rock(dove or pigeon).We know what it is,we don’t need any more ID.
It’s actually a rock pigeon. When I was submitting a photo I typed in the species, rock dove it only said rock pigeon.
OK
I look so proud don’t I?
On the tag it says:black fence on pigeon, why the fence on the pigeon?
lol. I think they got their tags mixed around
The tags sometimes do that. It’s annoying.
Oh I didn’t know it just switched around, that’s weird.
That is annoying.
Yes

I am confirmed that it is a rock pigeon.67.

They’re interchangeable. It’s the same species, just two common names. Just call it Columba Livia if you’re worried of being corrected, lol.
There’s 1 species,but we haven’t figured which name.
Why would we call it that name?
That’s the scientific name.
Okay,I was not sure.
75.
I would not remember that name.
Are we confirmed that it’s a rock dove(pigeon)?
