Common Grackle Chick Feeding

We've had them nesting in one of our trees where I couldn't reach. They must have fledged recently.

We have tons of nests in our yard, most of which are too high to reach without climbing. I recently found a way to see what’s inside them with out climbing. Get an extension pole, attach a camera to it, start the video, lift it above the nest, angling it so that it captures what’s inside, bring it down, stop the video, watch the footage and see what’s inside!

I tried that with a mockingbird nest. It worked well. I just held the phone above the nest.
