how many times in a summer season will the house finch lay eggs and hatch babies ??? This year I am on the 5th nest of babies. I moved my wreath after 4 times babies .. but they used a hanging basket now ! I see so many at our feeders , I wasn’t sure if its dad feeding babies or females after the male. Wondering how many times they reproduce in a season ?
Hi Debi, House Finches usually have two broods per nesting season, occasionally they will have three.
