    Hi, these are female Brown-headed Cowbirds. Although they do not build a nest of their own, they do lay eggs in most any nest they find. Learn more about cowbirds on our page here:

      Hi Robyn thanks so much for helping me identify these female cowbirds. We have an cattle ranch that connects to our land,so I’m sure they found their way to my bird feeders. The information you suggested about cowbirds was packed with great information. I did not know that they hijack other nests. Hmm… I’ll be checking other nests for sure. Thanks again, sharon Love
