Description

This evening when I monitored the nest box, I was pleasantly surprised to see two eggs! I put this nest box up last summer, hoping it would be used this year. It was fun to watch the female collect dried grass from my yard and carry it to the box to construct the nest. I look forward to watching my backyard Bluebird family grow this Spring and Summer!

Mary, I work for a County Conservation Board in Iowa and we’re looking to put camera’s in our bluebird boxes, could you inform me where you got your birdbox camera? Thank you

Hi Jessica! I took this picture with my cell phone. I wanted to get a camera for the nest box, but by the time I thought about buying one, the birds were already starting to build a nest. When this brood is fledged, I might look on Amazon for a camera to install in this box, and see how it goes! 🙂
