Description

In Hillside Cemetery, next to a stone of a man who built bluebird houses, are two nest boxes. Each year a pair of bluebird uses them (usually one “fake” nest and one they actually do use) for 2-3 clutches. The cemetery is full of big, old trees and lots of other birds. There is one maple close to the nest boxes, but then it is pretty open to the other direction. This cemetery is a good size and in the center of town, but now on the two main streets through town.

What a wonderful way to honor the life of someone who loved these birds. You brought tears to my eyes.
