    Hi Paula! This is a House Sparrow. Eurasian Tree Sparrows are also from Europe, but have slightly different markings. Take a look at these comparison shots. Note that the black bib on House Sparrows is much longer than the small black throat of the tree sparrow, that tree sparrows have that small black cheek patch, and that House Sparrows have gray caps with chestnut neck (and sides of their head) compared to the all-rufous brown crowns of tree sparrows.
