Texas Bird Family
Is this a female Vermilion Flycatcher?
It was gray with a brownish head, it had a faint stripe through the eye, it had faint wing markings, its beak was black and small, and its belly was orangish with brown streaks.
They do not live in your area,They live at the very bottom of Texas.
But they are on eBird! eBird only has birds that are common in my area.
Where are you in Texas?
The part where it live in Texas is:West of San Antonio is the boarder of Mexico,Like near Brackettville, TX.Then to the east of San Antonio is Houston. So say that from Brackettville to Houston east, they live below those 3 Cities:Brackettville, San Antonio, & Houston & down below that,Than through most of Mexico,& down through northern South America.
They are on eBird.
I don’t think it was. Vermilion Flycatchers are small and compact, this bird is tall and has long legs.
It was small and round, not tall.
