   *Update* 3 hours after these photos* Just watched from the window as a blue jay attacked the nest while the Cardinal pair were feeding. He followed in behind them and stole one of the new hatchling babies…despite the best efforts of mom and dad to ward him off.

   And then there were two 🙁
   Oh nature…

   So heartbreaking. 🙁 I know blue jays are protected….but I can’t help fantasize about the demise of those obnoxious birds..
