This documents recently completed nests in hanging ferns on my front porch; I only intended to photograph the nests but to my surprise found an egg in one!

House Finch Nests
House finches have nested on my balcony for several years. They have created a pile of 3 nests. Should I remove and clean up the area after they depart or just leave the mess alone.
Hi Lucie, this is totally up to you, but it’s perfectly fine if you’d like to remove those nests while birds are not actively using them.
