I had a chickadee nest that was recently taken over by a pair of Tree Swallows. I feel bad for the chickadees, but that’s nature.

I had a House Wren do the same thing to my Titmouse nest two years in a row!

This nest now has 6 House Wren eggs. At least they are using the nest box!

  4. Micah says:

My brother had a house wren take over his Mountain chickadee nest, Then the same pare moved to my bird house, I have some photos of them. But I did not say this.

I have always had this problem with tree swallows taking over bluebird nest boxes. I have tried pairing boxes this year 25″ apart. They have traded back again………Interesting stuff to see what species will end up where.
