Description

I went into my garage to find a little, female Ruby-Throated Hummingbird flying around. She wasn’t going low enough to see the exits. We grabbed a broom and tried to encourage her to go lower, being careful not to hit her with it, but she kept avoiding it. Then I searched the web and found a very helpful website that said to go inside and see if it will leave on its own. For a while she just sat on a fishing pole in our garage, then finally she left. She was in there for about 32 minutes. We were relieved when she finally made it out.

  1. we have had a wren in our garage & it gets trapped in the mouse trap, because their favorite food in winter is peanut butter,so.

    That’s so sad!

  3. Texas Bird Family says:

You shouldn’t leave your garage open because trapping wrens is illegal.
