The Mother Eastern Bluebird is hiding in the tree see if you can spot her ๐Ÿ™‚

What type of birds do you want to attract? Maybe put out some hummingbird feeders, and some bird feeders. Or plant some flowers and sprinkle seeds around the tree. Also put out some nest boxes. Really your only problem is that you don’t have many birds. I doubt the mockingbirds are mean… They are never aggressive towards humans unless you are invading their territory or nest.

I agree with Coco… lots of birds like suet feeders (from my experience) and hummingbirds usually come to hummingbird feeders, orioles enjoy jelly and oranges, and goldfinches LOVE sunflower seeds and thistles! So overall, it depends on what kind of birds you want to attract. Birds also like some trees and bushes.

Mockingbirds can chase other birds off as well as blue jays, But I do not think that mockingbirds would chase that many birds off. You can do what coco said. Cause that would help. also you can go to Parks nearby or birding Hotspots If that still does not work.

Weโ€™re on 5 acres considered โ€œprairieโ€ in Texas. We planted shrubs with red berries (female) youpon & other holly 10 yrs ago. Also have blue bird boxes. We now have nesting cardinals & BB. Dove, mockingbird, red winged blackbirds ar one pond. Our prize nesters are the Purple Martins. Go to purplemartin.org & learn all about it. Florida is a favored location & see their return first on continent.
