Dark-eyed Junco. Also, it’s very important to leave feeders up all year and have a bird bath.
You don’t need to necessarily leave them up ALL year. In the spring and summer there is usually more food, also most birds eat more insects in the spring and summer so they don’t rely as much on feeders. If you live in an area with lots of bears it is actually important that you DON’T feed birds in the warmer months. Lastly, suet can spoil pretty easily in hot weather, so it’s fine to take down your suet feeders.

And we have bird seed not suet
if you have places where racoons live then they might knock down your hummingbird feeder:they are smart.
But we do have bears around.

We have birdseed, suet, and a hummingbird feeder. We leave the birdseed and suet up all yaer. This is our first year of feeding birds.

We don’t have bears here. The birds that come to our feeder are year-round and eat seeds in the wild. The only ones that mostly eat bugs are the mockingbirds which we feed mealworm suet and peanut butter.
We use no melt suet, peanut butter, and bird seed.
I’ve read in many places that you should leave your feeders up all year. In spring the birds are feeding babies and need more food, in summer the male birds are really colorful, and in fall there is less food. Also, migrating birds need food too.
We get up are in mid fall.
We now have seed up all the time. In the summer I don’t put out suet.
For the seed we have a new perky-pet feeder.
I have a birdbath.
The suet feeder is broken, sadly, but we do have a bird bath and a birdseed feeder for finches.
Do you leave your feeders up all year?
Late November through March
