Found this nest in a tree. It’s about 10 or 11 feet up and it appears to be hanging. It’s made of sticks, leaves, and pieces of plastic. It’s in a forest habitat. The nest appeared to be inactive, I couldn’t get a look inside. Any ideas of what it could be?
It looks like a Robin nest or like a thrush I don’t know. I think a Bluebirds nest, I do not know.
Well, upon further research, the closest guess I have is a Red-Eyed Vireo.
I’m going to use nest and egg ID that’s what I’m gonna use you can use that too, what’s your habitat?
It’s not a red eyed vireo. The results showed: American goldfinch and Robin, the northern cardinal and mockingbird, the blue and the red breasted grosbeak, the dark eyed junco Gray catbird and house Finch, that’s what it showed.
Well, for whatever reason, some birds aren’t on the Common Nesting Birds page. Also, none of those birds build hanging nests.
