I found this on the ground at our campground located in the San Bernadino Forest, California over Christmas. It is approximately 3 inches long and extremely light. Is anyone able to tell me if this is a bird nest and if so, for what bird. Thanks

Nest?
It appears to be an empty wild cucumber seed pod. They look like a loofah.
It’s definitely not a bird’s nest. I googled Cathy’s suggestion, and it does look like the seed pod of a wild cucumber.
