Description

This nest is on some shovels hanging by our basement door. I had to get a ladder to take the pic with the eggs when the bird left the nest. The other pic is of the bird in the nest taken by phone camera. This nest is about 4 feet from a robins nest.

Hello, This is an Eastern Phoebe nest. These birds build cup nests made mainly of moss and lay white to pinkish unpatterned eggs. You can learn more about them here on All About Birds.

This is a phoebe nest. I’m also surprised that they nested four feet from a robins nest! Is it possible to show us a picture of the robin nest?

Eastern Phoebe nest. Are they showing any aggression towards each other?

Hi, thanks for your interest. Neither the Robins nor the pheobes are showing any aggression towards each other. In fact, the robin babies left the nest yesterday. I have posted pics of the babies as of 6/4.
