Osprey on edge of salt marsh Cape Cod Mass 8-20-22.
That’s a hawk. Looks like a young Cooper’s or Red-Tailed Hawk. Not an osprey.
Not a red tailed,it has a red tail.
Young red-tailed hawks have brown tails, but this is a young Cooper’s Hawk.
That is not a osprey.It looks like a hawk,maybe a broad-winged hawk.I am not familiar with the Hawks at Cape cod.
That’s not an osprey, I think it’s a young Cooper’s hawk. It looks just like the pictures of young Cooper’s hawks in eBird. I saw a young cooper’s hawk in our Oak tree and it looked just like that one.

Well, Cooper’s hawks have longer tails than Broad-Winged Hawks, and this one has a pretty long tail. I believe that it is an immature Cooper’s hawk.
I agree. I saw a young Cooper’s Hawk in our Oak tree. It looked just like the hawk in our tree. It is a young Cooper’s Hawk. It looks exactly like the pictures on eBird
I saw an all-white leucistic Red-Tailed Hawk yesterday. I’ve never seen a leucistic raptor before. Only sparrows. It was all white. It had a peach underwing.
