Looks like a Stilt Sandpiper but with red eyes. Stilt Sandpipers have black eyes. MIght be a type of egret or heron.

Might be some type of heron.

It’s neck looks too long to be a Stilt Sandpiper

Looks like a Yellow-Crowned Night-Heron. They have that same patterning, they have red eyes, and they wade in the water.

Thank you. I saw a picture on eBird. It’s a young Yellow-Crowned night heron. I thought it was a Stilt Sandpiper, but it had red eyes. Then I thought it was a hybrid black-crowned x yellow-crowned night heron but those are rare. Then I saw a picture on eBird of a young Yellow Crowned night heron and it looked just like that.

    Thank you
