Nest in a Crepe myrtle tree
Is it just sticks, or are there other materials like mud, plastic, snakeskin?
Could be a Northern Cardinal nest or Northern Mockingbird nest I think. What kind of habitat is around the nest?
It’s in someone’s yard. Near a fence near the sidewalk. I think it had some leaves in it too but mostly sticks.
I think it is probably a Northern Cardinal nest based on the location, and the materials it’s made of. It also looks a lot like the Cardinal nest that I’ve been monitoring. I’m no nest expert though so I could be wrong!
Thank you.
