Baya Weaver’s Nesting !

Baya weavers are found across the Indian Subcontinent and SE Asia where, in some areas, large flocks form on open grasslands, cultivated areas, scrub and secondary growth. Here we see construction of their hanging retort-shaped nests woven from strands of leaves.

This nest was captured on mid of May 2014, in INDIA.
