Baby Starlings

A few years ago we had a tree cut down that was dying and was too close to the house but we made sure about 12 feet of the trunk remained for the birds. This year we had a starling family nest in a tree hole a flicker had excavated.

I’m adorable and I know it

Every year the Piping Plovers return to the shore of Georgian Bay. This past spring/summer 5 pair nested. Here’s hoping all of the chicks survive and their numbers continue to increase.

Thanks Dad.

Baby Eastern Bluebird that is the lucky recipient of the bugs Dad hunted.

Hungry here!

I came upon three baby Eastern Bluebirds all vying for the food Dad was out hunting for. This was one of the lucky ones that Dad fed (see next picture). Even though they were able to fly, they like to milk the baby thing.
