Warbler Galore! (Big Birding Day Part 2)

Sorry for the not-so-great pictures. Aside from the three kinds of warblers, I saw a European Starling, two Ospreys, robins, crows, Tree Swallows, Black-capped Chickadees, Downy Woodpeckers, and White-breasted Nuthatches.

Crows Love Carbs

Every feathers friend loves to dine at my Bird Bed & Breakfast. The crow cracks me up with the bread stuck on his beak.

They grew up so fast!

The first baby Robin fledged yesterday! It was so cool to watch! Can’t wait to see the others fledge!
I’m so proud of the Momma and Daddy Robins! First House Sparrows destroyed their nest, then an American Crow flew up to their nest, but none of the babies were harmed thank goodness!

Crows and wood chips

Ever since a neighbor cut down some trees and spread the wood chips around in the woods behind my house, I’ve seen crows congregate there. Sometimes it seemed they were there to enjoy the water that accumulated there. Then I noticed that they liked the wood chips too. Even ate one. I don’t get it. Crows eat wood chips? Big chunks? Is this how they get their fiber? 🙂
