Vultures eating an egg
Yesterday we saw Black Vultures feeding on what I think was a duck egg at a park. They got within 2 feet of us which allowed for some great photos.

Birds at the park. We saw Cattle Egrets, a Great Blue Heron, Black-Bellied Whistling Ducks, domestic Muscovies, a Great Egret, a Common Night Hawk, Purple Martins, Black and Turkey Vultures, a Cara Cara, and more!

2 week old Black vulture checks
2 week old black vulture chicks found in a duck blind in the middle of Asawoman Bay on June 26. Followed them for 8 weeks until they started flying.

Stumbled across these 2 chicks at about 2 weeks of age initially in a duck blind on a siny island in the middle of Asawoman Bay that I have used in the past as an observation deck for an osprey nest. Here they are at 8 weeks on August 8th.
