Nest in vineyard vines – possibly sparrows

Found this little nest in grapevine – parents weren’t there so don’t know what type of bird it is. But it was tiny.

Killdeer nest found in a vineyard

I found this Killdeer nest in our vineyard, under the trellis wires. The mother was fussing around us as we worked, and I looked around for her nest and found it, directly on the ground. Very well camouflaged! She also pretended she was injured and flapped around to lure us away from the nest area. Once we moved away, she went back to sitting on her eggs. Very well camouflaged!
