How do nest assignments work?
Community coordinators may assign certain nests to members as a way of organizing and prioritizing monitoring effort. Assigning nests to members is optional, but it may be useful for keeping track of who is responsible for monitoring which nests. Nests can be assigned by individual nest site or by nest group, and multiple people can be assigned to the same nest site. This option is only available on the website. Note that for convenience, any member can still add observations to any nest in the community, even if it is not assigned to them.
To access nests that are assigned to you, you can filter the community’s nest list or map by nests assigned to you (on both the website and mobile app). This can be a convenient way to enter data while filtering out nests that are not relevant to you.
