    That happens when the cowbird mom lays eggs in nests, & the cowbirds hatch and the bird raise that chick. Sometimes the birds eggs(the owner of that egg), they do not hatch because the cowbird is bigger and stronger(Because the cowbird normally hatches before the other) & steal the food before the other chicks can get the food.

    I love cowbirds! I’m hoping to see a baby cowbird in a nest this spring. I’ve never seen one in a nest.
