I was lucky enough to discover this natural cavity with three nestlings while on vacation. I watched for several days as the male and female fed them. They all fledged successfully before I left.
This is a wonderful picture. My name is Will Joslin and I am writing a biography of my great-grandfather, James Lide Coker, who loved bluebirds. The amazing thing is that on his last trip outdoors before he died, he was overjoyed to see that, after a three year absence due to icy winters, that the bluebirds had returned to a hollow tree across the street.
I was wondering if I might obtain written permission from you to use this photograph of yours in my book.
I am on the Board of Directors of the Friends of Runnymede Park in Herndon Virginia. This year our annual NatureFest will be going virtual, published on our Facebook page during the last week of September. We would be very happy for permission to use your photo in our segment on Bluebirds.
NatureFest is a free family-oriented event available to the public, with no commercial or fund-raising purpose.
Kelly, I am the Pres of a land trust. Could we use your bluebird photo for an annual appeal? Thanks Quent

Hi Kelly,
I’d also love to use this photo. I work for NY State parks and this would be used on an interpretive sign we will have at the NYS Fair.
