Description

At 6:30 am on May 8, 19 ducklings hatched and one was partially hatched. At 9:55 am one duckling jumped and left with the hen. At 11:20 am 18 ducklings jumped and left with the hen. At 11:42 am there was a solitary duckling swimming in circles and peeping. At 1:45 pm all the ducklings were swimming in the corner of the pond and peeping with no hen in sight. There was a wood duck box above them with eggs only a few days from hatching. That foster mom flew out of her box and called the ducklings to the other end of the pond. The foster hen’s eggs were abandoned. All of the ducklings got out of the box.
