Remembering Terence Ryan

We were saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Terence Ryan of Colorado. Terry, as he was known, had recently worked with our staff to permanently archive 476 nest records spanning 17 years. 

Terry was an avid birdwatcher and photographer. He volunteered for 20 years monitoring nest boxes in beautiful Ridgway State Park and spent several months recently getting the data ready to upload into our database. We are so grateful for this legacy of long-term data, and for all of his efforts to help the local nesting birds during his lifetime. His sudden passing (unrelated to the pandemic) leaves us heavy-hearted but eternally thankful that he spent the time making sure his data were put to good use.
