Description
This brown-headed cowbird egg was in a mockingbird nest. This photo was taken AFTER the 3 chicks fledged. There was one mockingbird egg that didn’t hatch. The cowbird egg is the smaller white egg on the right.

I’m glad that you left the cowbird egg alone, it’s so cruel when people illegally remove the eggs. The mother cowbird isn’t doing anything wrong, she is just doing what she was made to do.
You can remove house sparrows eggs from a nest(not their own nest)
House Sparrows only lay eggs in their own nest.
Cowbirds are native so their eggs are protected.
