As I was about to go on a hike with my parents and younger sister, I saw a grayish bird fly into a bent tree. I took a few more steps and looked harder, trying to figure out what kind of bird it was. Then I realized it was sitting on a nest! I slowly approached the nest and the bird flew away. I peered inside and, to my delight and surprise, found a beautiful baby blue egg!!! This is the first active nest I’ve found this year! Time to start NestWatch patrolling!!!

That is awesome! Even the simplest birds like robins have fascinating egg cycles, one that can be recorded and logged for future references. Thanks for posting, I’ll be on the lookout for active nests in my area.
I found it March 20th. As of the 23, there were three eggs. I’m hoping there will be another today!!!!!
Stupendous! I wish you luck on your nest recording! I hope that the eggs will safely make it through their cycle and turn into full grown fledglings. Keep us posted, please!
There are still four eggs and none have hatched yet… I need to set a date on my calendar to know when to expect chicks.
Eggs are all hatched now!!! I’ll get a pic once the rain stops….
